ABOUT ICCEGI
The International Conference on Chemistry, Education and Global Innovation (ICCEGI) is an international scientific forum organized by the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA), Indonesia. Established to promote excellence in research, innovation, and international collaboration, ICCEGI serves as a platform for academics, researchers, educators, and professionals to exchange knowledge and explore solutions to contemporary global challenges through chemistry and education.
Following the success of ICCEGI 2025, which was held virtually on 11 October 2025 under the theme
“Sustainable Chemistry and Educational Technology Innovation”,
ICCEGI continues its commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and fostering global partnerships.
The 2nd International Conference on Chemistry, Education and Global Innovation (ICCEGI 2026) adopts the theme
“Advancing Chemistry and Education for Sustainability and Global Impact.”
The conference highlights the role of chemistry, innovation, and education in addressing sustainability challenges and supporting the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ICCEGI 2026 will be held on 26 September 2026.
ICCEGI 2026 covers a broad range of topics in sustainable chemistry, environmental and energy-related chemistry, advanced materials and nanotechnology, computational chemistry, and innovation for sustainable development, including chemistry education and digital innovation. ICCEGI 2026 features keynote lectures, parallel presentations, and scientific discussions involving distinguished scholars and experts from around the world. The conference provides opportunities for participants to disseminate research findings, establish international collaborations, and contribute to scientific and technological innovations that generate meaningful societal and environmental impact.
Through ICCEGI 2026, we aim to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and inspire innovative solutions that advance sustainability, support global development, and create lasting impact for society and future generations.

Authors are invited to submit their abstracts for presentation at ICCEGI 2026. All abstracts must be written in English and prepared according to the official conference template.

- Wait for the review and acceptance notification from the organizing committee.
- Accepted presenters will be invited to submit their full papers (according to publication opportunities).

Full Paper Submission
Presenters who wish to publish their work are invited to submit a full manuscript through the ICCEGI Open Journal System (OJS).
For new users, an OJS account will be created by the organizing committee. The username and password will be sent via email after the author completes the publication confirmation form and selects the preferred publication outlet.
Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (maximum file size: 10 MB) through the ICCEGI OJS by one of the authors. Existing users may submit their manuscripts directly after logging in.
Only online submissions are accepted. The submitting author is responsible for the manuscript throughout the submission, review, and publication process.

Publication Ethics
ICCEGI is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts must:
- Present original and unpublished work.
- Avoid plagiarism, fabrication, and falsification of data.
- Properly acknowledge all sources and references.
- Include all contributors as authors and obtain approval from all co-authors before submission.
Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools
Authors may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support language editing, grammar checking, or manuscript preparation. However, authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and scientific content of their submitted work.
AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors. Any substantial use of AI-generated content in the preparation of a manuscript should be disclosed appropriately and must comply with the policies of the selected publication outlet.
Quality Criteria
To be considered for publication, manuscripts should:
- Demonstrate good scientific quality and academic merit.
- Be relevant to the conference focus and scope.
- Present clear objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions.
- Use appropriate and up-to-date references.
- Be written in professional academic English.

Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the International Conference on Chemistry, Education, and Global Innovation (ICCEGI) will undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality and relevance of the published papers. Authors can submit and monitor the status of their manuscripts through the ICCEGI Open Journal System (OJS): https://proceeding.unesa.ac.id/index.php/iccegi
The corresponding author will also receive notifications via email regarding the progress and final decision of the review process.
Peer Review Procedure
1. Initial Screening
Upon submission, the editorial team will conduct a preliminary evaluation of the manuscript to ensure that:
- The manuscript complies with the conference template and submission guidelines.
- The topic is relevant to the scope of ICCEGI 2026.
- The manuscript is written in clear and proper English.
- The submission meets ethical and academic standards, including originality requirements.
Manuscripts that do not satisfy these basic requirements may be returned to the authors for correction or rejected before entering the review stage.
2. Peer Review
Eligible manuscripts will be assigned to qualified reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript topic. The reviewers will evaluate the manuscript based on:
- Originality and novelty of the research.
- Scientific and academic quality.
- Methodological rigor.
- Clarity of presentation.
- Relevance to the conference themes and scope.
- Significance of findings and contribution to the field.
3. Review Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial team will make one of the following decisions:
- Accept without revision,
- Accept with minor revisions,
- Accept with major revisions,
- Reject.
4. Revision Process
Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ comments and recommendations. Revised manuscripts will be re-evaluated by the editors and, when necessary, by the reviewers.
5. Final Decision
A final publication decision will be made after the revised manuscript satisfactorily addresses all reviewer comments and meets the conference quality standards. The acceptance of a manuscript depends on the quality of the work, the reviewers’ recommendations, and compliance with the conference publication requirements.
